A new Alexandra Sinclair mystery, Death of an Unfortunate Woman, will be published in May by Encircle Publications. It is the second book in the series, following A Deadly Courtship.

The book opens as Alex and her new husband, Benedict Nash, Viscount Litton, are celebrating their marriage at an outdoor reception when children and their dogs discover a woman’s body in the adjacent woods. The victim was a resident of The Home for Unfortunate Women, an establishment preparing former prostitutes for responsible work.

More deaths follow, each victim connected in some way to the Home. When local constables are unable to catch the killer, Alex and two friends set out to capture the ruthless murderer.
